What is an Eagle Project?Â
An Eagle Project is something that all boy scouts must do in order to reach the highest rank available in scouting, the rank of eagle. The scout must create or do something with other scouts that is continuously beneficial to that scouts community/environment.Â
Why are scouts required to Eagle projects? What's the purpose?Â
The purpose of Eagle scout projects are to give all scouts who have the dedication to become Eagle rank a chance to plan, develop, and give leadership to others. A very large part of Boy Scouts is making sure the next generation of men are prepared for anything their lives may throw at them, so having each scout participate in an Eagle Project gives them all an opportunity to express their interests through a helpful contribution to others, as well as learn what it's like to direct and work with others to build something.
